I. I once had a crush on this girl
Good things I thought were to unfurl
Her heart I patched, her tears I wiped
For a guy she loved all her life
I told her I wanted to care
She ignored me with a blank stare
Instead chose to be with that guy
Risking to give another try

II. The cruel hand of fate pointed
Another young heart hurt and bled
A dear friend, innocent and sweet
Tossed around like a piece of meat
She came to me with tears and grief
But our meetings were only brief
Her lovely gaze locked with my eyes
Oblivious of her big surprise

III. Fate again became a jackass
A text sent by the lovely lass
Her feelings she professed to me
"I like you" she claimed it to be
Quickly I texted her "I don't"
"It's not that I can't, I just won't"
So breaks her heart into small crumbs
Which ends with me titled as "numb"
A love so sweet I turned away
For something I thought has a way

IV. So goodbye she spat on my face
As she goes to a new embrace
The love she's hoped gone like a breeze
